What is the best way to clean a large mirror?

The mirror seems to have a bit of a film on it, i purchased it a few months back, have used different types of cleaners, but when I look at it from the side, I can see this film, it won't seem to go away.

I have found that regular glass cleaner and newspaper works the best. I have heard many different suggestions from steam and a squeegee, to coffee filters instead of paper towels. I have used rubbing alcohol to remove stubborn spots in the past.

Bo peep ammonia, a good size splash in about 3 qts. hot water to release soap...wipe window with clean rag and mixture...wipe dry using a clean cotton towel...if film still exist check for surface scratches as culprit.
