Help! Something is rattling inside my vacuum

We have a model 1162345090 Kenmore Vacuum Something started ratteling in the motor area I can't determine how to take it apart

Thank you for your question on the vacuum cleaner noise.

You will need to take the motor canopy off the top of the canister base. To do this you will need to lift up and over backwards the tool cover and the bag cover on the top of the canister so they will release from the base.

Then pop the rear cover off the top of the canopy and locate the Phillips screw and remove.

Then you will be able to remove the motor canopy.

The motor is sitting vertical.

If the motor fan is what has come loose and causing the noise you will need to replace the motor.

However the motor is no longer available so if you think it is the motor I would suggest purchasing another vacuum cleaner.
